Sorcero today announced new members on the company’s advisory board, as well as a new addition to its rapidly growing D.C.-based team. Ketan Shah has been hired as VP of Product, and Helen Johnson, and Daniel Shenfeld are joining the advisory board. Sorcero CEO Dipanwita Das hailed the additions to the company’s roster as world-class experts in their fields with extensive experience delivering technology solutions for industry-leading global enterprises in life sciences, insurance, and financial services.
Ketan Shah, Sorcero’s new VP of Product, brings extensive expertise in B2B solutions and unstructured data management. Most recently Ketan headed OpenText's B2B Messaging portfolio of products where he introduced new global products. He comes with 16 years experience leading product management teams in the financial, benefits, and healthcare sectors, including at ADP, Capital One, and Carewise Health.
“Ketan is a great fit to lead our Product team as we continue to build new capabilities for the Sorcero Language Intelligence Platform,” said Das. “He has extensive knowledge of the financial and healthcare sectors and has consistently delivered impressive products for a wide range of large enterprise customers.”
Helen Johnson is an experienced and accomplished Financial Services and Insurance IT executive who is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Data Dynamics and previously served as the Chief Data Officer and Head of Data Science Technology at AIG. She has extensive experience leading large-scale technology integrations and transformations, as well as creating and building production services and development teams. Johnson also served in senior technical and finance leadership positions at Thomson Reuters, RBS, Bloomberg, and FactSet.
Daniel Shenfeld, Ph.D, is a data science executive with over a decade of experience leading product-oriented data science and AI organizations at leading venture-backed life sciences and financial services startups. He is currently the Founding Principal at Manganese Solutions, a healthcare- and life sciences-focused AI consultancy, and served as the Chief Data Officer of COTA Healthcare, Director of Machine Learning at GNS Healthcare, as well as the VP of Data Science at eviCore through their acquisition by Express Scripts for $3.6 billion. Shenfeld has been published in leading journals, sharing his expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and statistics, as applied in healthcare and biotech. Shenfeld holds a PhD in mathematics from Princeton University.
