Sorcero Continues To Grow With Several Strategic Hires

Demand for Sorcero's AI-powered Language Intelligence platform has skyrocketed in recent months, particularly in the life sciences sector. We are continuing to scale to meet the market demand, while also supporting exponential customer growth. The company has made several new hires in an effort to drive our capacity and expand the domain expertise of the team.

Bogdan Sabac, Sorcero’s new VP of Engineering, brings expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing to the organization. He previously served in leadership positions at Information Builders (acquired by TIBCO) and Adaptly (acquired by Accenture). In those roles, he created the operating infrastructure, scaled the engineering teams, and developed software solutions for at-scale consumption. Bogdan brings 25 years of experience in software engineering  in the data science and machine learning fields.

Zaneta Handa was recently hired as the Executive Chief of Staff to function as an extension of the CEO and play a key leadership role in shaping and advancing Sorcero’s mission. Zaneta brings over 21 years of professional experience, and previously directed the Partner Marketing team at Capgemini North America before advancing to the Chief of Staff role supporting the Executive Vice President of a $1 billion business unit focused primarily on life sciences. She also served as an account leader at Booz Allen Hamilton, managing a portfolio of accounts valued at over $400 million.

In addition, Sorcero brought on Elizabeth Venafro as the Senior Director of Marketing. Elizabeth brings 15 years of B2B marketing experience to the team, having previously worked as the Director of Marketing for AI-powered software companies Omnilert and Unison. She also co-founded and was the managing partner of the Konvergent social engagement platform, as well as the Director of Global Marketing Communications for medical device manufacturer K2M (acquired by Stryker) from start-up through IPO.

Tri Nguyen was hired as the Senior Sales Engineer. He spent most of his career in the pharmaceutical industry, first on the production side as a chemist with Boehringer Ingelheim and then on the sales side with Novo Nordisk. Tri's technical specialty is primarily data science and analytics, but he also has a background in full stack development. He has spent years transforming big data into meaningful solutions for clients, leveraging the latest application of machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning. His technical background and pharmaceutical experience ensures that Sorcero delivers an exact solution for our clients in the life sciences space.

Tim Mikhelashvili joins Sorcero as an advisor, fulfilling the role of Solutions Director, Medical Analytics. He is a senior leader and mentor in medical affairs and the pharmaceutical industry, where he has worked in headquarters and in field-based medical science liaison and trainer roles. Over the last 17 years, he spent time at a range of large global, startup, and rare-disease specialty companies, including AstraZeneca, Salix, Baxalta, Synergy, and UroGen, across many therapeutic areas. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with post-doctoral fellowship training in Scientific Publications and Medical Education, as well as a certification from MIT in Leading Organizational Change.

Tim is currently dedicating his career to elevating the value proposition of medical affairs in life sciences and to updating the norms of communication and collaboration across the healthcare system with novel solutions. He is the chair of the Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS) Global Mentorship Program, the host of his personal leadership and corporate culture podcast @Alloutcoach, and the CEO and Founder of @AmedeaPharma, a performance management consulting company aimed at transforming data into behaviors in life sciences organizations.

In addition to these strategic hires, Sorcero has opened several new positions to support our continued growth.
