Sorcero was recently notified that it is a finalist for the Vesalius Innovation Award. The award program was created by Karger Publishers, one of the oldest and most respected worldwide publishers of scientific and medical content. It initially launched in 2020 to honor startups in the field of modern publishing with a focus on Health Sciences.
The award takes its name from surgeon Andreas Vesalius, who not only revolutionized anatomy when he published "De humanis corporis fabrica" in 1543, but laid the foundation for an entirely new view of the human body for many generations to come. Today, health sciences publishing is ready for a new revolution.
Scientific and medical literature is the fastest growing body of content in the world in both volume and complexity. According to McKinsey & Company in A Vision for Medical Affairs in 2025, "There is an overwhelming need to embrace the power of data and analytics, as well as digital engagement techniques—this is essential if Medical Affairs is to deliver on its future aspirations." Medical Affairs need advanced new analytics capabilities to work at the pace, accuracy, and scale that is demanded by today’s market.
Sorcero is proud to be honored as a finalist for the award, selected for its unified and connected medical content analytics solution. Capabilities include:
- Intelligent Literature Monitoring: Automated monitoring with targeted literature search at scale, smart tagging, and summarization of all contextually relevant content.
- Congress Intelligence: Improved targeting and planning, expanded reach to relevant stakeholders, and positive influence on physician decision-making.
- Insights Navigator: Extracted insights from all data types by tracking trending concepts in literature, as well as categorizing and analyzing field medical insights with dashboards.
- Validated Medical Information: Consistent and measurable information delivery with automated, validated facts and evidence.
The Sorcero cloud platform for advanced scientific content analytics provides a single entry point for these core applications, thereby solving some of the biggest challenges in content analysis, management, and metrics.
This award recognizes the advances in artificial intelligence (AI), deep machine learning, and natural language processing that underpin the Sorcero Language Intelligence (LI) platform. These technology advances empower medical and scientific affairs teams with immediate access to credible information to augment stakeholder expertise and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes.
